COVID-19 has caused rapid changes in most fields worldwide, including politics, economics, diplomacy, security, and technology. In addition to traditional development issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental pollution, the international development cooperation sector has also been struggling with pandemic responses. The diminished connectivity in the global society has left both developing and advanced economies with the challenge of overcoming supply chain crises and enhancing resilience.

In response, CID has taken the lead in transforming crisis response capabilities and governance derived from Korea’s policy experience into knowledge content, sharing and discussing it with the international community.

The crisis response capabilities and resilience of the international community are being recognized, even at the current juncture where tensions are escalating due to conflicts and wars post-pandemic.

As the first in Korea to establish a knowledge-sharing platform, CID continues its knowledge-based cooperation projects for strengthening crisis response capabilities and enhancing resilience in the global society, leveraging past development experiences and expertise. CID is committed to supporting the sustainable development of the international community based on Korea’s unique policy experience and over 20 years of accumulated knowledge-based cooperation project experience, striving to do its best.
